About Us

The Research Organization for Social Action (ROSA) is a research and education collective rooted in the coastal and deltaic landscapes of southern India. Our research scrutinizes the consequences of existing models of development, planning, and knowledge production on lives, livelihoods, and landscapes. Committed to a learning-through-action pedagogy, we offer space, community, and mentorship to students and young researchers. Centering and collaborating with working people, ROSA generates evidence, pedagogies, and practices to catalyze public action.
