About Us
ROSA (Research Organisation for Social Action) is a Pondicherry-based collective organisation comprised of dedicated students, researchers, activists, and a well-functioning collective infrastructure dedicated to the welfare of the working class, particularly working women. Our main goal is to establish a team of individuals who have worked with working people directly or via trade unions to understand their needs and challenges, and to be suppliers of research-based information for the working class's welfare. Currently, the thematic groups are working on the issues of farmers in the Kaveri Delta, fishermen on the Coromandel Coast, salt workers, Tamil Nadu's nomadic tribes, and debt erasure. Additionally, our collective critical lab is attempting to introduce new technology, innovative solutions, and efficient work methods that could reduce occupational hazards and injuries. In the course of our collaborative activity, the "Educate, Agitate, Organise" method was put into reality. Our work will be relevant and capable of addressing people's issues now and in the future.
